The Nipson 8000 offers the ability to print on a variety of materials ensuring the flexibility to be responsive to every demand. Tremendous Throughput

The Nipson 8000 can print on a continuous web at up to 229.5 feet per minute (70 m/min). In addition, the Nipson 8000 can be configured with in-line finishing equipment from third-party suppliers as well as in a stand-alone configuration for simplex and duplex printing. The system's unique variable speed feature lets it automatically adjust its printing speed to synchronize with the data flow and the finishing equipment, thus eliminating frequent starts and stops. Its user-friendly graphical interface makes job management simple and straightforward, maximizing operational efficiency.

Various Formats and Materials

With Nipson's ingenious cold flash-fusing system, the width of materials that can be used is greatly increased. The Nipson 8000 can print an 470 mm (18.5") print line on a web up to 520 mm (20.5") wide, allowing documents to be printed 2-up, 3-up, or more, depending on the document size. The system will process paper, polyester and other plastic material, foils, thermosensitive and carbonless stocks, and self-adhesive labels. Stocks can be as light as 64 gsm (17-lb bond.) or as heavy as 160 gsm (100-lb. tag). Even webs with tipped-on cards can be reliably printed, card and all.

Unique Imaging technology

The Nipson 8000 uses the unique non-impact magnetography printing technology to produce print. The magnetographic print engine consists of an array of electromagnets that forms a magnetic image on the surface of a metal drum. The image is exposed to toner for developing and the developed image is then transferred to the substrate where the toner particles are permanently flash-fused. During one drum revolution, the image is developed, transferred to the substrate and then the drum is erased to prepare it for the next image. This process enables extremely fast and reliable continual printing that is ideal for high volume, variable text and on-demand applications.
